DAY OF SURGERY
Discover how your day will look when you are having your procedure done.
ARRIVAL
On the day of your surgery, you’ll arrive at the surgical facility and check-in with the nursing staff. You’ll be taken to a pre-operative ward where you’ll change into surgical attire and thereafter Dr Frank Graewe will personally visit you to ease any anxiety and ensure your comfort.
EVALUATION
You will meet with your anaesthetist to be evaluated and receive any necessary pre-operative medications. The type of anaesthesia will be discussed beforehand and you will be at the attention of your anaesthetist throughout this entire process to ensure your safety.
PROCEDURE
You will then be transferred from the pre-operative ward to the operating theatre, to receive anaesthesia. The duration of the surgery will vary depending on the complexity. Refer to your consultation discussion with Dr Frank Graewe for an estimated timeline.
RECOVERY WARD
After the surgery, you’ll be observed in the recovery ward. If you’re staying overnight for added comfort, you’ll be moved to the overnight ward when your condition is stable. For day procedures, you’ll be released when your vital signs are normal.
